The North America Nazrul Conference is a platform of the North America Nazrul Conference Committee (NANCC). The Conference is non-political and is not tainted by the deep-rooted differences in domestic political affiliations amongst Bangla spoken people in Bangladesh, India and around the world. The Conference offers researchers, lecturers, singers, poets, reciters, and other cultural performers the opportunity to gather and exchange Nazrul’s creative work through performances, consistent with the mission statement of the NANCC.

The mission of the NANCC is to explore, practise, and promote the versatile talents of the Bengali poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in North America. The goal is to spread Nazrul’s universal message of humanity to the audience, especially the new generation. This biennial conference generates international awareness of the imperative need to preserve this immense treasure of mankind that Nazrul had expressed in his writings and to gain a wider recognition that he so rightfully deserves.
